our history
For more than 30 years at Cabaña Verónica we offer the best gastronomy and
attention of THE MERCADO DEL PUERTO. From the beginning to the present it is
run by their own owners. Carmen Pose was the first to be at
command of the restaurant, mother of Verónica who is today behind
the counter.

If we go back to the beginning some things changed, for example,
Formerly it was called Bar Montevideo and it was distinguished by being a cocktail bar
where many port workers passed through. Then it was restored and from the
December 20, 1987 began to work what we know today
as Cabaña Verónica.

What is the name? Would you think that the answer is so simple?
like the fact that Carmen's daughter is named Verónica. But the real
history goes back to the childhood of González, father of Verónica who used to spend
daily through the Cabaña Verónica refuge located at an altitude of 2,325 meters in
Spain and where he imagined this dream that later came true.
Although some things changed, we are sure that the essence did not.
